If you love the farmer’s market, you’ll love our produce department!
We pride ourselves on the diversity of local, seasonal, and global produce available on our shelves. Our focus is on certified organic, seasonally fresh, and local produce, which helps to fulfill our mission of supporting local, sustainable agriculture. We receive produce, including organic fruits, local greens, and fresh veggies, over ten times per week, ensuring you receive the freshest, tastiest produce available in our community.
One of the best parts of our job is building relationships with local growers, most of whom deliver directly to our co-op. Throughout the year, we buy from over twenty local growers, nearly all of whom are within a short drive of our store. We also partner with 100+ other local producers to bring you the Midwest’s best and freshest products. Our growers even visit the store often, sample their delicious produce, and get to know the people who support them–our shoppers!
So if you missed the farmer’s market, you’re in luck! You can still find products from the growers and local businesses you love right here at our store! Just look for the teal “local” icon on tags in-store or online to shop for products that are grown or produced in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Illinois, or Iowa.

When sourcing products for our shelves, our buyers focus on stocking certified organic, seasonal, and local produce. Why? Because we believe that clean, sustainably produced foods taste better, are healthier to consume, and have less impact on animals, people, and the environment. Meet our Produce Buyers
Rachel, our Menomonie store’s Fresh Coordinator, and Jen, our Eau Claire store’s Fresh Manager, oversee the purchasing of produce at our co-op. If you grow or wildcraft produce you’d like us to consider stocking, submit a vendor application or contact our buyers.
