About The Program
Menomonie Market Food Co-op’s education program was launched in 2015 to promote the cooperative business model and to help develop a sense of community among co-op owners. Through this initiative, we offer learning opportunities via various outlets.
After a three-year hiatus during the COVID-19 pandemic, we’ll be hosting monthly hands-on workshops taught by experts starting later this year. Topics will include cooking, gardening, health, wellness, and craft-making. View upcoming workshops here, or contact us via the form below to request one on a specific topic.
Menomonie Market Food Co-op staff also donates our time to community organizations through education opportunities. We’re available for presentations at local events on topics including retail grocery operations, the cooperative businesses model, the local food system, sustainability, and more. Contact us via the form below to schedule a presentation at your organization.
In addition to presentations, we also offer free store tours to community groups. Our staff will lead guests through one of our stores while explaining our history, retail basics, product spotlights, and more interesting facts along the way.
