Layne oversees the deli which includes the hot bar, grab & go cases, Made To Order Sandwiches, Bakery, and Cheese. She got her start with food at the University of Wisconsin – Stevens Point Dietetics program. Through this program she learned the inner workings of the food system, the benefits of supporting local, and the importance of being environmentally sound. In a practical sense, she has put these skills to the test at a few independently owned businesses including a cafe, wine bar, and some high-end restaurants. She gratefully ended up at MMFC and is looking forward to what this deli has to offer and driving it towards its full potential. In her free time, she enjoys exploring the Chippewa valley with friends and family, training her husky to do fun tricks, and cooking at home.  Email Layne

Nina Website CropKITCHEN MANAGER, Nina Wawracz x211

Nina is on the floor with staff 80% of the time making sure that our Deli products are consistent, tasty and beautiful, and spends the other 20% developing systems, recipes and organizing her department. She grew up on a farm and has a deep passion for good food and where it comes from. As a little girl she had the privilege of helping her mom in her cut flower business; this meant cutting, arranging, and delivering fresh Organic flower bouquets to co-ops and farmers’ markets in the Twin Cities. Nina will never forget coming in through the back door and  entering a wondrous world of color, taste, sound, and diversity. It is probably because of these formative experiences that she is here today! Nina and her husband, along with their cat Laila, live here in Menomonie and absolutely love their little community. Along with her love for Co-ops, she is always trying out a new recipe, thrift shopping, eating out at new restaurants, seeing great live music, and spending as much time as she can with family and friends. Email Nina
